FIU hasn’t been totally horrible, but the results aren't there.
It stalled against Sam Houston as part of a three-game losing streak. It has to be perfect the rest of the way to go bowling, but going to Jacksonville State in two weeks will be a problem.
Kennesaw State and Middle Tennessee, though, are gettable. First things first - get by the Aggies.
New Mexico State hasn’t even ben close on the road so far, going 0-3 losing 133-24 to Fresno State, Sam Houston, and Jacksonville State. However, it stopped the slide of five straight losses with a win over Louisiana Tech two weeks ago.

Why FIU Will Win

No, FIU isn’t doing enough offensively, but as long as the defense can take over and keep this close …
New Mexico State vs FIU: Who Will Win
The Panthers will be a bit better than normal at home.
FIU will bust out a wee bit against an awful New Mexico State defense that will start to buckle in the second half. A late Aggie score will make this interesting.
The Panthers will finally get back on the winning track.
