Schoharie County brewery up for sale

MIDDLEBURGH, N.Y. ( NEWS10 ) — Green Wolf Brewing Co. & Public House in Middleburgh has been put up for sale. Owner Justin Behan said he is leaving the business and hopes to find a new owner so the brewery can continue on.

“I want this Green Wolf community to stay alive and thrive – but not in lieu of personal health, monetary well-being, familial obligations, and changing life needs,” said Behan.

Green Wolf serves a variety of craft beers, wine and other spirits, has open mic and live music nights, and hosts other events. Behan said the brewery has been struggling when it came to financial stability over the past nine years.

Behan said Green Wolf will be staying open for the time being. If a new owner is not found, Green Wolf may have to close, he said.

“It’s my hope most of you will understand this difficult decision I’m making – a decision I’ve been pushing off for some time because I’ve known how important Green Wolf and The Public House is for so many of you,” said Behan.

Green Wolf Public House is located at 329 Main Street in Middleburgh. The brewery is open Thursday and Friday from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. and Saturday from noon to 10 p.m.
