Golf courses open early to take advantage of warmer weather

CLIFTON PARK, N.Y. ( NEWS10 ) — Some local businesses are embracing the mild weather. Northway Golf Center in Clifton Park opened its outdoor range last Wednesday.

The business said golf is becoming a year-round sport with the rise of golf simulators and indoor courses. But it’s hard to beat playing outside.

“But the nice weather coming, courses are opening up early, so people can enjoy that,” Sales and Customer Service Manager Jeremy Mendrick said.

The business said this is the earliest they have seen warm enough weather that allowed them to open.
