4 Capital Region towns up for USA Today 10Best award

SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. ( NEWS10 ) — Four local towns have been nominated for the USA Today 10Best Readers’ Choice award for “Best Small Town in the Northeast.” Saratoga Springs, Saugerties, New Paltz and Great Barrington are among those nominated.

In total, 20 Northeast towns with a population less than 25,000 are nominated. USA Today said the towns were chosen by an expert panel as the best for their beautiful scenery, historic charm, local cuisine, and cultural attractions.

USA Today currently has several different categories for its 10Best Readers’ Choice Awards including Best Small Town in the West, South, and Midwest, Best Coastal Small Town, Best Historic Small Town, and more. Saratoga Springs is also nominated for Best Small College Town.

You can vote for your favorite small town once per day until polls close on Monday, April 1 at noon on the 10Best website . The winning small towns will be announced on Wednesday, April 10.
