Local pride festivals happening in June

ALBANY, N.Y. ( NEWS10 ) — As June approaches, organizations are announcing their festivals to celebrate Pride Month. Here’s a roundup of local for those interested in the celebration.

Schenectady Pride Festival

The Schenectady Pride celebration will happen on June 1 from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. It will be held at the Gateway Plaza featuring local talent, vendors, a drag show, and more.

Glens Falls Pride Festival

Lower Adirondack Pride will host the 2024 Glens Falls Pride Festival on June 2 from noon to 4 p.m. in Glens Falls City Park. Those interested in becoming a vendor or a volunteer can register via Google Forms.

Capital Pride Festival and Parade

Capital Pride’s 2024 celebration will be held at Albany’s Washington Park on June 9 including a parade and a festival. The festival will kick off at 11:30 a.m. starting at State Street onto Lark Street and then Madison Avenue.

Lake George Pride Festival

Lake George DJ Takeover Music and Arts Festival will host the Lake George Pride Festival on June 9 from noon to 7 p.m. with a “tea dance” for ages 18 and older from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. There will be female DJs from the community, vendors, disc golf, frisbee golf, lawn games, walking trails, photo areas, and more.

Bethlehem Pride Festival

Bethlehem Pride will host the Bethlehem Pride Festival on June 22 from noon to 4 p.m. at 428 Kenwood Avenue in Delmar with live entertainment, a kid zone, and vendors. Those looking to sponsor, support, or volunteer for the festival can email BethlehemPride12054@gmail.com.

Rutland County Pride Festival

Rutland County Pride Center will host the Rutland County Pride Festival on June 22 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Center Street and Merchants Row in Rutland, Vermont. Those looking to have a booth at the festival and those looking to perform or give a speech can apply online.

Saratoga Pride Festival

The Saratoga Pride Festival returns on June 23 from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. in High Rock Park. Any person or business looking to have a table at the festival should email info@saratogapride.com. Note that sales are not allowed at the festival but it can be a way to promote your brand or organization.

Bennington Pride Festival

Queer Connect will be hosting the Bennington Pride celebration on June 30 from noon to 4 p.m. at 208 Pleasant Street in Bennington, Vermont. Those who wish to be vendors must RSVP by June 9. Participants in the festival must RSVP by June 15.

Troy Pride Festival

Collar City Pride will host the Troy Pride Festival on July 14 from noon to 5 p.m. It will be held at Riverfront Park in Troy.
