DOT announces lane closures on SR 9 in Lake George

LAKE GEORGE, N.Y. ( NEWS10 ) — The New York Department of Transportation announced that State Route 9 near the Interstate 87 overpass in Lake George will only have one lane open, with alternating traffic controlled by temporary signals starting on Wednesday, April 10. The closure is expected to last until August 31 when a bridge replacement project in the area is complete.

Drivers should expect delays and give themselves extra time when driving. Construction activities are weather-dependent and subject to change because of possible conditions.

Drivers are urged to slow down and drive responsibly in work zones. Fines are doubled in work zones.
