When are the Capital Region drive-ins opening for the season?

ALBANY, N.Y. ( NEWS10 ) — Although it brought some snow with it, spring is finally here. As the weather starts to warm up, the Capital Region’s drive-in movie theaters are getting ready to open.

NEWS10 reached out to our local drive-ins to see what their opening plans are. Not all have set dates yet, but here’s when the area drive-ins are looking to open for the 2024 season. You can check back for updates when more drive-ins announce their opening dates.

• Hi-Way Drive-In Movie Theatre, 10699 Route 9W in Coxsackie
  • Opening April 12
• El Rancho Drive-In, 6070 Route 5 in Palatine Bridge
  • Opening mid-April, planning for April 19 (weather dependent)
• Ozoner 29 Drive-In, 837 Route 29 in Broadalbin
  • Opening mid-April, planning for April 19 (weather dependent)
• Malta Drive-In Theatre, 2785 Route 9 in Malta
  • Opening sometime in April for its 75th season
• Hollywood Drive-In Theatre, 9270 Route 66 in Averill Park
  • Hoping to open in April depending on the weather
• Hathaway’s Twin Drive-In Theatre, 4762 Route 67 in North Hoosick
  • Opening in late April
• Glen Twin Drive-In, 983 Route 9 in Queensbury
  • Aiming for the end of April
• Greenville Drive-In, 10700 State Route 32 in Greenville
  • First public event of the season is on May 17, won’t have a regular movie calendar until June
• Jericho Drive-In, 21 Jericho Road in Glenmont
  • No set opening day yet
