Watervliet club organizes alumni basketball game

WATERVLIET, N.Y. ( NEWS10 )– The Watervliet Cannoneer Club is hosting an alumni basketball game on Friday night. The women’s and men’s games will be held in the Watervliet High School Harry Tucker gymnasium with the first game tipping off at 5:30 p.m.

Admission is $5 for adults and $3 for students. Gordie Johnson, a former Watervliet coach, will coach one of the girl’s teams and all proceeds from the game benefit the Watervliet Cannoneer Club. The club sponsors a number of local events including dances, giveaways, and a school store that awards prizes to middle school students for good behavior.
