During her time as supervisor, Puccioni helped the Niskayuna Police Department get body cameras, created a traffic safety division, and secured over $1 million in grant funding for town park improvements. Puccioni also secured 100 acres and created the Niskayuna Mohawk Nature Preserve.

The next acting supervisor will be Deputy Supervisor Joseph Drescher. The town board will work with the town attorney to determine a supervisor’s appointment to fulfill the remainder of Puccioni’s term.

Puccioni said she made such a significant impact on the Niskayuna community thanks to the support of residents and town employees, and she is proud of where the town is today. “We have worked hard over the last three years to make meaningful progress for the Town of Niskayuna,” Puccioni said.
