    Troy man arrested after crashing into cars on Clinton Avenue

    ALBANY, N.Y. ( NEWS10 ) — Albany police have made an arrest after several cars were struck on Clinton Avenue Thursday afternoon.

    Around 1:30 p.m., police said Tequan Grimes, of Troy, was driving a stolen Ford F150 on Broadway when an officer saw him driving erratically and passing through a red light. The officer attempted a traffic stop, but Grimes kept driving and sped up to around 60 MPH on Clinton Avenue.

    Grimes then struck multiple cars in traffic as well as several parked cars. He was taken into custody after crash. The 38-year old was treated on scene for a cut to his head and taken to Albany Medical Center for non-life threatening injuries.

    He was charged with one count of Reckless Endangerment in the Second degree, one count of Criminal Possession of Stolen Property in the Fourth Degree, and one count of Unlawful Fleeing a Police Officer in a Motor Vehicle in the third degree.

    He is scheduled to be arraigned Friday morning.
