Temporary road closures in Pittsfield on Saturday

PITTSFIELD, Mass. ( NEWS10 ) — The city of Pittsfield has announced that there will be some temporary road closures on Saturday. Two roads will be closed from noon to 4 p.m. for community events.

Robbins Avenue from Columbus Avenue will be closed for the Annual Soap Box Derby with a rain date for Sunday. Tyler Street will be closed from Burbank Street to Glenwood Avenue for a Backpack Giveaway and Back to School Block Party.

The city asks that drivers seek alternate routes during this timeframe and follow the designated detours.
