On Thursday around 4 p.m., state police responded to the Patroon Island Bridge in Albany following reports of someone threatening to jump. Arriving troopers learned that the person, later identified as Miklowitz, had jumped from the bridge and was found dead below the bridge on I-787.

An autopsy conducted on Friday at Ellis Hospital determined the cause of death for David and Kathryn Milkowitz to be injuries resulting from blunt force trauma. Investigators say their deaths have been classified as homicides.

According to state police, evidence collected during the investigation in tandem with statements made by Jordan Miklowitz before his death has led to Jordan being identified as the primary suspect in the homicide of his parents. The investigations remain ongoing. State police say there is no threat to the public at this time.
