Ballston Lake restaurant permanently closes its doors

BALLSTON LAKE, N.Y. ( NEWS10 ) — Finnigan’s on the Lake, located at 175 Lake Road in Ballston Lake, has closed for good. Owners Matt and Stephanie Finnigan made the announcement on the restaurant’s Facebook page .

On August 13, the owners announced that Finnigan’s would be closed until further notice due to illness. The permanent closure was announced five days later on August 18.

“Unfortunately, I (Matt) have to put my health first as my current situation marks my third brush with death within the past 34 months,” said Matt Finnigan.

Finnigan’s on the Lake opened in 2021 in the former Villago space. The Finnigans had previously owned the now-closed Carney’s Tavern on Main Street in Ballston Lake. Finnigan’s on the Lake served pizza, burgers, specialty sandwiches, salads, soups, and more.

“We wish to thank all of our patrons, friends, families and employees for their support hard work,” said the Finnigans. “We will miss you all and hope to see you around in the future.”
