Milton woman accused of trying to set home on fire with mom inside

MILTON, N.Y. ( NEWS10 ) — The Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office reported the arrest of a Milton woman who allegedly tried to set a home on fire with her mother inside. Ashley Millington, 31, faces multiple charges.

Charges

• Second-degree attempted arson
• Third-degree arson

The Sheriff’s Office reported responding to a mental health call on Paisley Road in Milton on Sunday at around 11:50 p.m. The caller reported that the neighbor’s daughter had poured gasoline inside the home and attempted to set her mother on fire, according to deputies.

Millington allegedly tried to start a fire while her mother was in the home before the mom fled. It is also alleged that Millington was able to start a fire in the home after the mother had fled.

The mom was evaluated on the scene and reportedly uninjured. Millington was arraigned in Milton Town Court and placed in Saratoga County Jail.
