One on one with Elise Stefanik

ALBANY, N.Y. ( NEWS10 ) — The 2024 presidential race shifted into another gear following the Democratic National Convention. This week on Empire State Weekly we spoke one-on-one with Republican Congresswoman Elise Stefanik to get her reaction to key issues in the race.

Elise Stefanik is a republican and represents New York’s 21st congressional district. She also is the chair of the House Republican Conference. She explained the reasons for what she believes is a growing trend.

“and its also interesting nationally there is a phenomenon that republicans are doing better and better in blue states like New York and California. because people are seeing the double whammy of bad federal policies from democrats at the federal level coupled with catastrophic state polices with unified democrat government so that’s given us an opportunity to show that we’re the party of common sense and results” Said Stefanik.

Also this week Julie LaFave the Director of The Great New York State Fair explained the unique attractions for the 2024 fair and the significant impact it plays on upstate New York’s economy.

“If you’re into animals we have animals galore, so many barns. If you’re into music, we have local music, we have big headlining act, if you just like the food, if you want, some people just like to people watch, so we have something for everybody” Said LaFave.
