No one was injured, and damage was limited to the footbridge. Glens Falls Fire Department and Queensbury Central Fire responded to the call, which was in a long diagonal trail in Cole’s Woods Tom Jacobs Race Loop Trail, roughly 100 yards outside of the city’s limits.

City officials said the small fire was suspected not to be caused naturally. The Glens Falls Police Department and the Warren County Sheriff’s Office are looking into the incident, and anyone with information can call police at (518) 761-3840.
