Opening day of the Schaghticoke Fair

SCHAGHTICOKE, N.Y. ( NEWS10 ) — In addition to the Columbia County and Fonda fairs, Wednesday marks the opening day of the 2024 Schaghticoke Fair. Filled with rides, food and entertainment, the fair runs through September 2.

Admission is $15 per person with children 13 and under getting in for free. There is $2 admission on Wednesday, as well as $5 admission for seniors and free admission for veterans and active duty military on Thursday. Parking is free and ride tickets are a separate charge.

The Schaghticoke Fair is headlined by Flo Rida , who is set to perform on the Grandstand stage on August 31 at 8 p.m. You can buy concert tickets on the fair’s website .

• August 30: Farm Tractor Pulls at 11 a.m. and 6 p.m.
• NYTPA Tractor Pulls, September 1 at noon and 6:30 p.m.
• Watermelon eating contest on September 1 at 3 p.m.
• Pie eating contest on September 2 at 3 p.m.
• Demolition Derby, September 2 at 1 p.m. and 6 p.m.
• Rabbit and cavy, cattle, beef, horse, sheep, goat, dairy, and dog shows
• Petting zoo and pony rides

The Schaghticoke Fair is open daily from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. The fairgrounds are located at 69 Stillwater Bridge Road in Schaghticoke. You can buy admission tickets at the door or on the Schaghticoke Fair website .
