Water main break in Pittsfield

PITTSFIELD, Mass. ( NEWS10 ) — The City of Pittsfield announced that crews are currently on the scene of a water main break on Franklin Street. Officials say water service in the area will be unavailable while repairs are underway.

Residents may experience water discoloration while the break is active and for a short time after service returns. Anyone with discolored water should run their faucets until the water begins to clear. Any residents with concerns can contact the Pittsfield Water Department at (413)499-9339 .
