Guilderland outage leaves hundreds without power

GUILDERLAND, N.Y. ( NEWS10 ) — Hundreds of people lost power in Guilderland on Wednesday, according to National Grid’s outage map. Guilderland Police confirmed that the outage is attributed to a tree falling across power lines on Johnston Road.

Police say Johnston Road is closed in both directions between Ashford Drive and Ildra Lane. Drivers are advised to use caution while passing through the area.

The estimated power restoration time is currently between 5 and 6:30 p.m. Stay with NEWS10 as updates become available.
