Troopers received a complaint on July 16 from a Washington County resident claiming they were being extorted. State Police say their investigation revealed that Bapp threatened to falsely report that the victim had sexually assaulted her unless they paid the requested amount of money.

According to troopers, Bapp’s threats resulted in the theft of more than $3,000 from the victim during June and July. Bapp was arrested on Friday, arraigned at the Washington County Centralized Arraignment Part Court, and released.
