    ALBANY, N.Y. ( NEWS10 ) — Happy Tuesday! Meteorologist Rob Lindenmuth says today’s weather will be similar to Monday’s but with more sunshine.

    The names of those in the fatal crash that happened in Glenville on Sunday morning were released. Also, NEWS10 got the community’s reaction to the drowning of a 26-year-old man in Troy. These stories, and more, are in your five things to know this Tuesday.

    1. Glenville Police release names of fatal crash victims

    The police say the four people who died in the crash were all Schenectady residents. Elijah Holmes, 24, Nyvon Irizarry, 25, Quiessence Irizarry, 24, and John Kemp, 24, were identified as the occupants of the car during the crash, according to police.

    2. Locals still swimming in Poestenkill Gorge after drowning

    Many people filled the prohibited area of Poestenkill Gorge Park in Troy Monday afternoon, despite police investigating a drowning from the holiday weekend. According to police, a 26-year-old man from Troy was visiting the park with his friends and family on Sunday. NEWS10 spoke to Antonio, a father who visited the park on Monday.

    3. UAlbany police investigating robbery on uptown campus

    Police are investigating a reported robbery at the University at Albany’s uptown campus. Police said an altercation between a male student and multiple suspects took place Sunday night near State Quad.

    4. NYRA announces final numbers for 2024 summer meet at Saratoga Race Course

    The New York Racing Association, Inc. (NYRA) [Monday] announced that the 2024 summer meet at historic Saratoga Race Course generated more than $800 million in all-sources wagering handle and exceeded 1 million in paid attendance.

    5. Greenwich ice cream stand staying open year-round

    The Ice Cream Man, located at 417 Route 29 in Greenwich, is making the switch from a seasonal to year-round business. Owner Jody Cracco made the announcement in a Facebook post on September 1.
