The Capital Region’s oldest missing persons cases

ALBANY, N.Y. ( NEWS10 ) — The Capital Region has several active missing persons cases with the oldest one dating back to 1969. Authorities are still investigating these disappearances, but none have been found yet.
Cornelia was 19 years old when she went missing. She was last seen at Lum’s restaurant in Rotterdam at 11 p.m. on April 24, 1969, after meeting a friend. Her car was found unoccupied on April 25 at Friendly’s restaurant on State Street in Schenectady. Foul play is suspected.

Karen was a senior at UAlbany when she disappeared. She was last seen leaving the Tanning Hut on Central Avenue in Colonie around 7:20 p.m. on the day she disappeared. There were then three unconfirmed sightings of Karen later that night. Witnesses said they saw her walking south on Fuller Road towards SUNY Albany near Six Mile Waterworks Park and the I-90 westbound on-ramp between 8:10 p.m. and 8:20 p.m.
She was last seen wearing faded blue jeans, a light blue short-sleeved golf shirt, a cream-colored raincoat, white sneakers, a gold ring with a blue zircon, and a Seiko watch. She was carrying a gray cloth pocketbook and may have been carrying a blue knapsack.
George was last seen fishing near Cranes Hollow Road and the Mohawk River in Amsterdam. State Police found his car abandoned in that area. After an extensive search of the river, they could not find him.
Monique was last seen around 8 a.m. in Albany. Her mother spoke to her by telephone at noon. She told her mother that she had missed the school bus and would stay home. She has not been seen since.

On the evening of March 2, 1998, Suzanne left from her job at a Crossgates Mall to walk to the bus stop and boarded a CDTA bus to return to UAlbany. She got off the bus about 9:40 p.m. at Collins Circle. She was wearing long black trench coat, a black shirt and blue jeans. She was carrying a black book/tote bag.
It is believed Suzanne was wearing a polished, 14K, fluted bow ring, a silver ring in the shape of a frog, and a necklace with a silver medallion inscribed with a runic character that looks like a block-style letter S we she disappeared. She may also have been wearing a 14K gold flower design cocktail ring.

Peter was last seen in Galway. On August 18, 2001, his car was towed from a private parking lot in Albany where it had reportedly been parked for two or three days before being towed.
Audrey May was last seen driving westbound on State Route 23 in Catskill around 11 p.m. She was driving a 1994 black Jeep Grande Cherokee with New York license plate X233UV. She is missing “under suspicious circumstances.” She had left work and was wearing dark green medical scrubs and a blue turtleneck.
Craig was last seen walking into the woods near the Cambridge Manor Apartments in Scotia around 2 p.m. on June 27, 2004. He was wearing blue jeans, a white long-sleeved t-shirt, and Adidas sneakers with three black stripes. He was also wearing a gold chain with a St. Christopher medal.
Jaliek, 12, went missing from his home on Hill Street in Greenwich. Foul play is suspected. He may have been wearing blue jeans, a yellow fleece pullover, and black hightop sneakers.
Lutricia was last seen near State Street and Erie Boulevard in Schenectady. She has several tattoos including a tiger on her left ankle, a leopard, a ribbon with the name “Shawn” on her left arm, the word “Kasin” on her left chest. She has piercings in her nose, tongue and ears.
Kellisue was last seen around 9:35 p.m. in the town of Amsterdam on September 30, 2008. She was last seen wearing tan slacks, a black shirt, white sneakers, tan stockings and brown glasses.
Thomas was hunting with a party off of Little Pond Road in Horicon. He was supposed to be in a stationary position due to age and health. When the hunting group came out of the woods, Messick did not exit the woods. An extensive police search was conducted in the area but he was not found.
