Off the Beaten Path: Dancing Grain Sunflower Fest 2024

MOREAU, N.Y. ( NEWS10 ) – Rooted in the Spirit of the Land , one million sunflowers sprinkle ten acres at the Dancing Grain Farm Brewery in Moreau. At the center of the operation is beer, but this month it’s all about the Sunflower Fest 2024.

The sunflowers started as a crop rotation with an agricultural use, but then they started attracting visitors. For three years, the family farm has been holding the Sunflower Fest. This year’s theme is “Let Love Grow Wild.”

“I was greeted by some regulars that visit the brewery and they had brought some friends for the first time and one of the friends got up and gave me a hug and she was like thank you so much for being a place like this in our backyard. Thank you,” said Rachel McDermott, the owner.

Dancing Grain Farm Brewery is located at 180 Old West Road in Moreau. The farm is open Wednesday – Sunday.
