Kelton Avenue in Schenectady shut down due to police presence

SCHENECTADY, N.Y. (NEWS10) — The Schenectady Police Department confirmed on Friday that a law enforcement operation has caused the closure of Kelton Avenue between Albany Street and Watt Street. Schenectady Police are being assisted on the scene by New York State Police and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.

The operation also resulted in the delayed dismissal of students at Keane Elementary, the Schenectady City School District announced. Drivers are advised to avoid the area at this time. Stay with NEWS10 as this story continues to develop.
