Fatal Queensbury motorcycle crash under investigation

QUEENSBURY, N.Y. ( NEWS10 )– A motorcyclist has died after a crash in Queensbury. The crash happened on September 22 around 5:32 a.m. on Interstate 87.

The motorcyclist, identified as Rodrigo Borges Da Silva, 41, of Fort Ann, was pronounced dead at the scene. According to troopers, an initial investigation determined the motorcycle was heading south when the driver failed to navigate a curve.

In result, the motorcycle left the road and struck a delineator, causing Borges Da Silva to be ejected from the motorcycle. Troopers say the crash is still under investigation.

not an accident recreation expert but from the little information in the article sure sounds like speed was a factor. People...slow down...is possibly getting somewhere 2 minutes early worth risking your life? It's deer in the road season in rural areas...slow down...only time I've seen more small dead animals in the road is spring time...slow down...leaves plus rain equal " huh..suddenly I'm sliding down the road with my motorcycle next to me"... yes you guessed it...slow down. Sorry to sound like no fun Fred but I've survived 40 years so far street riding without an accident. Stop making yourselves organ donors and at the same time you can be ambassadors of the sport...In other words there's a time and a place for letting rip...be patient
