    The suspect in the Pawlet, Vermont triple homicide will be extradited to Vermont. Also, Helene has weakened to a tropical storm. These stories, and more, are in your five things to know this Friday.

    1. Pawlet murder suspect will be extradited to VT

    The suspect accused of killing three of his family members in Vermont will be extradited from Warren County where police say he was evading arrest for murder.

    2. Helene weakens to a tropical storm over Georgia with sustained winds of 70 mph

    Hurricane Helene weakened to a tropical storm over Georgia with maximum sustained winds of 70 mph (110 kph) early Friday, the National Hurricane Center said.

    3. Bennington PD arrest 8 in connection to drug investigation

    When the arrests were made, multiple law enforcement agencies executed a search warrant at the South Street residence. Police said Jordan Feliciano, 31, of Connecticut, tossed a Glock 17 pistol with a 27-round extended magazine while police searched the home. Three children under the age of 10 were also removed from the home.

    4. Southwest bringing nonstop flights from Albany to Nashville

    Southwest Airlines will soon provide nonstop service from Albany to Nashville. The flights are scheduled to begin in April 2025.

    5. Former Yankee, Red Sox pitching legend Roger Clemens visits Albany Center for Disability Services

    It’s been 17 years since Clemens threw a pitch in the bigs, but his legend lives on. Thursday, the man they call “Rocket” made a stop here in the Capital Region.
