Class D Round-Up: Lake George/Warrensburg/Bolton, Greenwich win ranked matchups

LAKE GEORGE, NY ( NEWS10 ) — There were two matchups between ranked teams in Section 2 Class D on Friday. The first featured #3 Lake George/Warrensburg/Bolton, coming off a statement win over Class C’s Schuylerville, hosting #13 Cambridge/Salem.

The Wolverines clawed their way from the start. Fullback Nick Jeckel broke a long touchdown run on the second play from scrimmage. The Wolverines led 14-0 after an Avery Osborne touchdown. Lake George/Warrensburg/Bolton rolled from there on their way to a 48-0 win to stay unbeaten.

In Greenwich, the #15 Witches played host to #10 Stillwater. Greenwich led 20-6 in the third quarter. Stillwater worked it into the redzone with a chance to cut it to a one score game, but the Witches forced a turnover on downs. Greenwich’s Nick Radovich rattled off a 57-yard touchdown to help ice it, as Greenwich rolled 36-6.

Lake George/Warrensburg/Bolton will visit Stillwater next week, while Greenwich will visit Chatham.
