National Grid is helping Appalachian Power with restoration with employees from western, central, and eastern New York. Additionally, 50 electric operation colleagues from Massachusetts will join the efforts.

According to National Grid, more than four million homes and businesses in the affected southern states remain without power after the storm made landfall in Florida on Thursday night. This trip isn’t the first time National Grid has lent assistance, as the company participates in a mutual assistance program.
