The blue-green algae was found in the lake on September 18 . The initial health advisory was lifted on October 1 after test results showed that the algae had diminished, however, further testing this week revealed that the algae was still present.

Contact or consumption of algal-present water can result in medical issues for both humans and animals . Residents are reminded to avoid contact with the water and to refrain from any activities on the lake. Warning signs will be posted in the area.
