On August 7, deputies responded to reports of a crash on Pettis Road . An investigation into the crash determined Murry swerved to avoid a deer, causing the pickup truck to crash into a pole and overturn.

Deputies said two children, ages 10 and seven, were in the truck bed and were ejected once the accident occurred. The two children were transported to Albany Medical Center for treatment.
