The latest Storm Tracker Forecast from meteorologist Matt Mackie:

Unsettled, though not totally gloomy conditions expected today. With a trough of low pressure over the eastern Great Lakes, we’ve seen a couple early morning showers in the Mohawk Valley.

More widespread showers will develop north of I-90 in the afternoon. Temperatures will rise from the 30’s and 40’s this morning, to the 50’s or low 60’s this afternoon.

In the evening, a few of these showers could drift south through the Capital District and into the Catskills, Mid-Hudson, and Berkshires. Most everything will fizzle after midnight.

Tomorrow looks dry, but actually a bit cooler with a breeze blowing out of the northwest. In the Adirondacks, you may not warm past the upper 40’s! Most everyone else will see highs in the upper 50’s.

After a frosty start to Friday, with even Albany and surrounding towns falling down into the upper 30’s, temperatures rise to more comfortably into the mid 60’s in the afternoon. Saturday is even warmer, but gusty and blustery at times.

Showers return for the start of next week, along with falling temperatures. The mountaintops of the Adirondacks and Greens may even see a few snowflakes on Monday! A sign of things to come down in the valleys in the next few months…
