    Greenfield woman pleads guilty to felony assault

    SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. ( NEWS10 )– A Greenfield woman has pleaded guilty to an assault charge after being arrested and charged in June. Theresa Travis, 34, pleaded guilty Wednesday to assault in the second degree, a class D violent felony.

    In June, Travis was arrested after allegedly being involved in a hit-and-run and dragging a police officer while fleeing a traffic stop. According to police, while being pulled over for traffic violations, Travis began fleeing the scene, resulting in Sergeant Adam Dingmon being tragged by her car and injured.

    The following day, Travis was charged with several charges . Those included:

    • Second-degree assault
    • Second-degree reckless endangerment
    • Second-degree criminal impersonation
    • Aggravated unlicensed operation
    • Leaving the scene of a personal injury accident
    • Numerous traffic violations
    Two plead guilty in drug trafficking and money laundering conspiracy

    Following her charges, Travis was remanded to the custody of the Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office where she faces two to seven years in prison. Travis is scheduled for sentencing on December 17, 2024, at 1:30 p.m.
