Chinese restaurant celebrates grand opening in Halfmoon

HALFMOON, N.Y. ( NEWS10 ) — Koi Modern Chinese Cuisine is celebrating its grand opening in Halfmoon. The restaurant is located in the former SparX Fine Chinese Cuisine space at 1570 Route 9.

Koi Modern Chinese Cuisine is owned by Chef Wilfred, who also owns Koi Ramen in Clifton Park . The new restaurant had its soft opening in July after the SparX owner announced he was moving on from the restaurant business.

“It has been an honor to serve our community. Achieving a part of my childhood dream through SparX has been fulfilling, and now it’s time for me to pursue new aspirations. I am pleased to announce that I have found a wonderful family to take over SparX,” previous owner Peter Wang said in July.

The Koi Modern Chinese Cuisine menu features fried rice, noodle dishes, and dim sum, as well as chicken, duck, pork, beef, and shrimp entrees. You can view the full menu on the restaurant’s website .

Koi Modern Chinese Cuisine had it’s grand opening on October 1 and is offering a 10% discount on orders through October 30. The restaurant is open Wednesday through Monday from noon to 9 p.m.
