10/15/2024: Still cool, but not as rainy

The latest Storm Tracker Forecast from meteorologist Matt Mackie:

A lingering trough of low pressure will keep us unsettled today, with periods of clouds and perhaps a few stray, light afternoon showers.

Temperatures will struggle to even hit 50 with a cool northwest wind blowing. It may be just cool enough in the Adirondacks and Greens for a few flurries.

Tonight, things could pick up towards those northern mountain ranges, bringing them additional light snowfall accumulations. A few flurries could even sneak into the Catskills! The rest of us could see a few more cold rain sprinkles and showers with lows in the mid to upper 30’s.

Still chilly and blustery tomorrow, but less gloomy. Expect dry conditions with more and more breaks of sun. High temperatures again near 50.

After a cold start, consistently bright skies help temperatures rise into the upper 50’s on Thursday. Expect more morning chilliness for Friday and the weekend… but crystal clear skies overhead help us warm as high as the 70 degree mark by Sunday!

A few more clouds around for Monday, but still perfectly comfortable. After a more mild start with lows in the 40’s, afternoon highs are still pretty close to the 70 degree mark. Something to look forward to!
