    Teen charged with making threat toward Bethlehem HS

    BETHLEHEM, N.Y. ( NEWS10 ) — A 13-year-old from Albany has been arrested after allegedly calling in a bomb threat to Bethlehem High School. The Bethlehem Police Department said the teen in this “swatting” case is not the same person who made several threats to the school over the past month .

    Police said the bomb threat was called in on October 15 around 2:40 p.m. The high school was placed in a lockout/shelter-in-place while law enforcement swept the school. No suspicious devices were found.

    Bethlehem police and the FBI investigated the case, which led them to arresting the 13-year-old. The teen was charged with making a terroristic threat and second-degree aggravated harassment. They are set to appear at Albany County Probation on October 22.
