    Rensselaer Police arrest 2 in CT homicide investigation

    RENSSELAER, N.Y. ( NEWS10 ) — According to the Rensselaer City Police Department, it arrested two people in Rensselaer in connection with a homicide investigation stemming out of Stamford, Connecticut. The Stamford Police Department says Moises Alejadro Candollo-Urbaneja, 22, and Gregory Marlyn Galindez-Trias, 24, were found with the victim’s belongings and car.

    According to Stamford PD, there was a shooting at the Super 8 Hotel on Grenhart Road causing the death of Angel Samaniego, 59, which has been ruled a homicide via gunshot wound. The suspects were arrested and held on a $2 million bond for possession of stolen property in New York. They were also charged with grand larceny out of Stamford.

    The Stamford Police Department asks anyone with information to contact Sgt. Luis Serna at (203) 977-4417. Those who would like to remain anonymous can text the word “StamfordPD” to 847411.
