As part of his plea, Miller admitted to conspiring with Mufid Fawaz Alkhader to illegally “straw purchase” a shotgun on Alkhader’s behalf between October and November of 2023. Alkhader is accused of possessing and firing the weapon outside of Temple Israel in Albany on December 7, 2023.

In addition to his prison sentence, Miller was ordered to serve a three-year term of post-release supervision. Alkhader still faces multiple charges in connection to the incident, and the case remains under local and federal investigation.
