GLENS FALLS, NY ( NEWS10 ) — The Class B North title was on the line in Glens Falls between two unbeatens. The Black Bears hosted Mechanicville/Hoosic Valley, out to the best start for the program since 1998.

The Raiders took an 8-0 lead following a 21-yard touchdown by Dimagio Ferrara, followed by a two-point conversion. Glens Falls’ Brody Holcomb linked up with Oscar Lilac for a score to cut the deficit to 8-6 before the half.

The Black Bears clawed back in the second half, dominating 21-0 after the break on their way to a 27-8 win to win the Class B North. “It was a big game and we came out and made some kind of uncharacteristic mistakes,” said Glens Falls head coach Pat Lilac. “Credit to Mechanicville for that. But you can never really tell about your team until they face a little bit of adversity, and we were really proud of the way we responded in the second half and executed and took care of business.”
