    Columbia beats Bethlehem to set up three-way tie atop Capital Division

    DELMAR, NY ( NEWS10 ) –The Bethlehem Eagles entered Friday night atop the Capital Division at 3-0 in league play. Columbia and Averill Park lurked behind at 2-1. The Eagles hosted the Blue Devils Friday night.

    Columbia jumped out to a 14-0 lead in the second quarter behind two touchdowns from Chris Carter. Bethlehem’s Kevin Walters linked up with Connor Yohe for a touchdown to cut it to 14-7.

    The two teams would trade blows the rest of the way, but Columbia hung on for a 35-28 win. With Averill Park’s 47-12 win over La Salle, Columbia, Bethlehem, and Averill Park are all tied atop the Capital Division heading into the last week of the regular season.
