    One injured after Lexington Avenue shooting in Albany

    ALBANY, N.Y. ( NEWS10 ) — Albany Police are investigating a shooting that took place on Wednesday morning. The incident happened around 8:45 a.m. near Lexington Avenue and Sherman Street.

    Officers responding to the area located a 46-year-old man with a gunshot wound to the lower leg. The victim was tended to on the scene before being taken to Albany Medical Center to be treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

    Albany Police say there are currently no suspects in custody. The investigation remains ongoing. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Albany Police Detective Division at (518)462-8039 .
