Two charged in deadly August Sumter hotel shooting that claimed two young lives
SUMTER, S.C. — Two men have been charged in connection with a deadly shooting at a Sumter hotel in August. Sumter Police charged two suspects from Wedgefield, 19-year-old Tavion Melki Mickens and 23-year-old Toney Williams Jr., in connection with a shooting that happened on Aug. 18 at the Sleep Inn Hotel on Broad Street. The shooting left 20-year-old Saquan Logan of Sumter and 19-year-old Tyriq Demari Spann of Dalzell dead.
