    La Crosse County board approves new ATV routes in Barre and Greenfield

    LA CROSSE CO. (WKBT) -- The La Crosse County Board approved six county highways in the towns of Barre and Greenfield for UTV traffic on Thursday.

    Town leaders and the Coulee Cruisers ATV/UTV Club have asked the board to open parts of county highways M, O, OA, B, FO, YY, AND NN.

    Routes 2 through 7 were approved Thursday. Route 1 will be discussed in future meetings.

    A report from the La Crosse County Sheriff's Office found that route 1 has the potential for low visibility at St. Joseph's Ridge.

    According to the Joint County ATV Council, all county roads in Monroe, Vernon, Crawford, Buffalo and Richland Counties are open to ATV/UTV traffic.
