    2024-04-18

WINONA, Minn. (WKBT) -- Winona State University students put their best work on display, sharing research projects and internship experiences from the past year with the community.

More than 200 students presented findings from their projects, which span a variety of disciplines.

Amanda Brouwer is a professor of Psychology at Winona State University, as well as a Co-Chair for Research and Creative Achievement Day.

She said the presentations are a way for the students to develop life skills needed for after graduation.

"It gives them an opportunity to share with the community what they have learned, what they've contributed in terms of new knowledge, and a chance a chance to communicate that knowledge, which is sort of an essential skill that they are developing as students in preparation for their careers and their life after their time here at Winona State," said Brouwer.

Brouwer said there were over 118 presentations at Thursday's showcase.  In addition to the live poster presentations, there were also oral and pre-recorded presentations.
