Coulee Region Humane Society hosts 20th Annual Adoptathon

ONALASKA, Wis. (WKBT) -- If you’ve been considering adding a new companion to your household, now is the perfect time. The Coulee Region Humane Society is hosting its 20th annual Adoptathon from Aug. 12 - 18.

For two decades, the program has offered $20 adoption fees for all available animals, providing pet parents with a great discount while alleviating some pressure from the shelter.

"Some people get with some animals that they might not be able to being that I know times are tough for a lot of people and money is tight. So, this is definitely a good chance to find a furry friend for a little less," said Matt Dougherty, marketing and graphic design coordinator at CRHS.

The promotion runs through Sunday, Aug. 18, with open viewings of all animals from 1 to 4 p.m. daily. The event will also feature raffles for both dog and cat baskets.
