Great Rivers United Way Snack Packs

LA CROSSE (WKBT) -- On Tuesday, local nonprofit Great Rivers United Way (GRUW) teamed up with wealth management company Trust Point to ensure children in summer programs are receiving the nutrition they need.

This initiative is part of GRUW’s ‘imPACKs’ program, which supplies essential food, health, and wellness items to those in need.

According to Bill Bosch, CEO of Trust Point, the snack packs will benefit children in two local summer programs.

"Food is a crucial part of daily nourishment for kids. We are providing 1,000 snack packs to the YMCA and 800 to the Boys & Girls Club of La Crosse," said Bosch.

Trust Point supplied all the non-perishable items for the 1,800 snack packs, each of which includes a granola bar, pretzels, fruit snacks, and a Slim Jim.
