NEXT 24 HRS: Quiet and comfortable conditions continue this evening and overnight, with temperatures falling into the middle 40s to middle 50s. Some areas of fog are possible once again overnight, although this looks less likely than previous nights. Temperatures will climb into the middle 70s to low 80s on Thursday under partly cloudy skies due to some high and mid-level clouds. Cloud cover increases Thursday night as a weak system lifts north of the area.  This could result in a few showers late Thursday night.

LOOKING AHEAD: Saturday looks to be the first warmer day with highs peaking a few degrees above average (82F). Sunday and Monday will be the hottest stretch with many areas seeing highs in the 90s once again . Dew points will rise into the upper-60s and low-70s once again, producing heat indices ( feels like temperatures) in the mid to upper-90s. As winds aloft turn to the west and eventually northwest towards mid-next week, a series of cold fronts will move across the area, resulting in temperatures slowly returning to average (middle 70s to low 80s is average by this point) for the second half of the week. Low rain chances accompany these frontal passages. Temperatures look to remain average or slightly below heading into the Labor Day Weekend.
