Sunny skies and mild temperatures fill the upcoming work week

WHAT WE ARE TRACKING: Apart from some hazy skies, q uiet conditions will remain for the time being with a dry, warm, and sunny forecast taking up the entirety of this week.

Air Quality: You may have noticed a bit of haze in the sky Sunday afternoon. With the current pattern of northwestern flow in the upper levels , some Canadian wildfire smoke has made it to our area. Most of this smoke should stay suspended above us, although those sensitive to poorer air quality may want to spend some extra time indoors for Monday . Moderate air quality for much of the area could stick around for the next day or two, depending on when we may see a shift in the current upper air pattern.

Monday Forecast: Apart from the possible haze, skies should remain mostly sunny and void of most cloud cover. High temperatures will be mild in the low-80s with the chance of some folks seeing the upper-70s. Winds will be out of the north from 3-8 mph.

LOOKING AHEAD: T he week ahead will be very quiet with mild conditions. High temps will stay around average ; e xpect most days to top out in the low-80s or upper-70s . We will also see an abundance of sunshine for much of the week, resul ting in a slight chance for pop up showers or thunderstorms in afternoon and evening hours. Nevertheless, rain chances will remain low at 10-20% for most day s next week. The likelihood of a warmup next weekend is becoming stronger with the chance of upper-80s entering the forecast once again.
