Annual gaming convention celebrates 10 years at the La Crosse Center

LA CROSSE (WKBT) -- On Saturday, an annual convention kicked off its 2nd day in La Crosse.

This year marked the 10th anniversary of Coulee Con, a gaming convention held at the La Crosse Center.

Each year, Coulee Con partnered with other gaming organizations to raise funds for Children's Miracle Network Hospital and Gundersen Health System.

During this year's event, guests could enjoy various activities, including a 40-player mega game, a miniature painting contest and a cosplay contest.

The President of Coulee Games said the convention was not just a fun event, but also a unique learning opportunity for beginners to explore and play different types of tabletop games.

"It was a great opportunity to introduce yourself and your children to the hobby, if you just wanted to see what these games looked like," said Josh Hertel, Coordinator of Coulee Con, President of Coulee Gamers Inc.

The convention will continue until this Sunday.
