New tech lab in White Hall school district intends to keep students competitive in tech world

TREMPELEAU, Wis. (WKBT) -- White Hall School district is showing off their brand-new state of the art tech lab.

The 16,000 square foot facility will serve as space for advanced technology classes and training for students 6-12.

The Emerging Technology Lab will feature equipment and resources for training in areas like robotics and drone operation.

Tech credentials and certifications can be obtained through the courses offered that can also transfer over as college credits.

The Superintendent of White Hall school district says this new facility will push students to stay ahead of the game.

"This is the next level of equipment, the next level of impact for our kids in really becoming globally competitive. Each piece of equipment that we have which is cutting-edge today has the skillset with it has the curriculum with it to allow kids to learn independently," said Mike Beighly.

There are 460 enrollments currently at the emerging tech lab. Classes begin next Wednesday,
