Tomah community unites to feed children worldwide through meal-packing event

TOMAH, Wis (WKBT) -- The Tomah community united to provide food for children worldwide

Friday, the Tomah area partnered with Feed My Starving Children to raise money through an event to provide 100,000 meals for kids around the globe.

According to Feed My Starving Children's website, around 6,000 children die from hunger-related causes.

The event took place at the Tomah fairgrounds, where attendees had the chance to volunteer and help pack meals.

The campaign is aiming to reach the goal of $30,000.

The event coordinator emphasized that this is not just a meal-packing event but a community effort that can bring families together to help children who might not have much food.

" I cried a few times you get emotionally invested in it and my family whole family is here my daughter bought her friends," said
